Dabbawalas - Pawan Agrawal - EO Winnipeg Speakers Series
Because the trains in Mumbai are too overcrowded for workers to carry their own lunchbox, every day, 200,000 lunch boxes, or tiffins, are collected from homes and delivered to workers across the city. These workers, or Dabbawala’s are mostly illiterate. They use no technology And even with each tiffin making an average of six changeovers before reaching it’s final destination, they have executed with 100% accuracy for the last 125 years. How is this possible?
